For Today... Nov. 30th, 2015

Outside my window...Its cold and dreary, but at least its not snowing..... yet!

I am thinking... that I need to get up and get moving, as I have a shopping and lunch date with my forever friend today!

I am thankful... for unexpected surprise visits from my youngest..... even when he scares the snot out of me!

I am wearing... right now sweat pants and a sweat shirt.... but will be changing into jeans, a pink shirt and a pretty scarf

I am creating... a mermaid lapghan, and a few hats

I am going... out in a bit to shop and have lunch

I am wondering... what I will be getting the boys and my hubby for Christmas

I am reading... right now, nothing... I have put the 2 books on hold until I get these last few orders out of the way

I am hoping... that my hubby gets a nice bonus

I am learning... that I need to make a budget and stick to it.

In my kitchen... Menu for the week:
Monday ~ spaghetti and garlic bread
Tuesday ~ tacos
Wednesday ~ pizza
Thursday ~ breakfast - eggs, sausage, toast
Friday ~ soup (not sure what kind yet) and rolls

For Today... November 23rd, 2015

Outside my window...daybreak is just starting to peek...its cold and snowy

I am thinking... that I need more sleep. It wasn't a great night of sleep.

I am thankful... for my family and friends.

I am wearing... black sweats and a sweatshirt... I need to get some socks on (my feet are freezing)

I am creating... a mermaid tail lapgan

I am going... no where....its too cold out and I need to get some things down around the house this week.

I am wondering... what I will have for breakfast. I am thinking oatmeal, as I am freezing and it will warm me up

I am reading... I have 3 books going right now (its funny as I go from no books to 3...) 1) The Sciatica Relief Handbook (got to figure out how to alleviate the pain), 2) Candace Cameron Bures book still. 3) The Fervent/span>

I am hoping... That the change at work goes through quickly...as I really want the opportunity to work from home.

In my garden... nothing, as its covered in snow

Weekend in Review

Friday ~ Grocery shopping, ran some errands, stopped at the vet, then home to work on all of the last minute items for the craft show. Made dinner, then headed to the church to set up for the craft show.

Saturday ~ Craft show with Kim. It was a profitable day, so that was a bonus! Went and picked up dinner, then vegged the rest of the night with the hubby.

Sunday ~ Church in the morning, out for lunch, then home where we vegged for awhile, then worked on the countertops! They look so nice! I was finally able to put things back.. just need to put the microwave back and then get the dining room cleaned up and remove the extra table!

Friday ~ Long, long day..... first had to take John to work, as my truck was out of commission due to the accident from the day before. I needed a car, as I had to take Lulu to the vet. Which didn't happen until 5, so plans changed with Trent being the one to possible go pick him up from work. I went and got my hair cut and did some errands. Hung out with the boys until it was time to go to the vet.

The outcome was pretty much what I had expected, as she was just to sick to come out of this. We said goodbye to our sweet, sweet Lulu. Rest in peace pretty girl.



Saturday ~ Halloween. Grocery shopping in the morning, then crocheted for the day while John worked on my truck. Both rear shocks had to be replaced, and then he saw that the exhaust had some damage, so that will have to be replaced as well.

I passed out candy, then hung out with my hubby for the night.

Sunday ~ church in the morning, has a great lunch of ribs, roasted red skin potatoes and green beans. Took a nap, and crocheted while waiting for The Walking Dead to come one.

For Today... Oct 26th, 2015

Outside my window...Its just starting to get light out. Its a chilly 37 degrees out.... brrrr. The high is 61, so they say.

I am thinking... about all the things that have to be done in the house... I so don't like Monday's and all of the busy-ness. I just want to sit and be lazy today!

I am thankful... for fellowship with a great group of ladies from my church.

I am wearing... black yoga pants and a blue/gray Detroit Tiger long sleeve tshirt, and some warm fuzzy socks

I am creating... ...I think I am finally done with things for my craft show... I have totally lost interest in making things for it. I am ready to start on other fun things! One being a mermaid tail afghan!

I am going... to Hobby Lobby to get a skein of white yarn... I just don't like the feel of the whites I have on hand for this one particular hat I need to make.

I am wondering... If I am once again saying yes to one to many things...

I am reading... Candance Cameron Bure's book, and just got a new one The Fervent, it has been highly recommended

For Today... October 19th, 2015

Outside my window...The sun is trying to come out. Its a chilly 46 out, with not much of a warm up for the day.




I am thinking... about running to the store, I need to get a few things I forgot when I got groceries on Friday.

I am thankful... for the last 25 years with my guy. We have had our ups and downs, but have weathered them fairly well.

I am wearing... still in my pj's. As soon as I am done with my housework I will be showering and then putting on some yoga pants and a purple and gray baseball type shirt, with a pair of warm fuzzy socks!

I am creating... still working on the same items in the past for the craft show... I will be glad once it is here so I can move on to other things!

I am going... to the store (see above)

I am reading... Still reading Candance Cameron Bure's book... just not finding the time to get really into it; it a good read, just no time.

I am hoping... to get things back on track financially and get that savings built back up!

Weekend in Review

Friday ~ Grocery shopping in the morning, ran a few errands, then home to work on crochet projects. Once John was home, it was an at home date night ~ we watch San Andreas - pretty good movie.

Saturday ~ we had a day date, if you will, with some shopping, things for the kitchen counter tops, then to Family Christian to get a book or two, Guitar Center to pickup some strings, then to GB Russo's to browse and pick up things for dinner. Then hung out for the night at home.

Sunday ~ church in the morning, then a potluck afterwards. Once home, the Lions were on the tube, so it was time for a Sunday afternoon nap...woke to see that they were in overtime, and ended up winning! We did some more coats on the counters, and then I convinced John to play some guitar for me!

Ended the night with some Zombies!!

Handmade Monday

I found out about this through Jessy at Our Side of the Mountain, and thought I would start posting all of my fun little creations I make.

I have been busy making lots of things for my upcoming craft show in November. This past week its has been hats. I have made several of these cute frog hats, and snowmen hats. A few of them I have made girly by adding a flower to the hats. As well as this bumble bee hat and tushie cover.









I have so much more to get done in the next few weeks! From towels, dishcloths, cup cozies and rice bags. its going to be a crazy few weeks!!

For Today... October 12th, 2015

Outside my window...Its a typical Fall like day, cool, crisp air, and a chilly 57 degrees out.

I am thinking... that I need to go toast me a french toast bagel with brown sugar cream cheese

I am wearing... gray yoga capris, a mint green/gray baseball type shirt with a hoodie over it (for now).

I am creating... hats, towels, dishcloths, doll clothes and cup cozies... I am almost to the point that I am over this whole craft show!

I am going... to the groomers in a little while, poor Lici really needs her nails trimmed, she keeps getting hung up on the carpet.

I am reading... still working on Cameron's book.... I was hoping to be farther into it, but I seem to crash after only reading a page or two at night. Its a good book though! I have on the agenda to purchase The Fervent, it has been highly recommended


I am hoping... that this is the week that the kitchen project is finally done!!!

I am learning... that there must have been a reason for what happened a few weeks ago...I am sadden by it, but it may be for the best.

In my garden... I need to removed all of the dead plants, and am thinking about what I want to plant to bloom in the spring.

Monday ~ stuffed pork chops, baked potato (for the hubby), corn and rolls
Tuesday ~ chili and cornbread

For Today... October 5th, 2015

Outside my window...Its another gloomy day, hoping for no rain, as the pup needs to go out and run off some energy!!

I am thinking... that things are not going to be worked on with an issue from last week. The more I think about things, the more I feel that nothing was really handled very well.

I am thankful... for my husbands adventurous spirit when it comes to many of my crazy ideas in ways to save money. We ventured out on an idea of redoing our countertops in order to save money, as one of the counters to buy new would have cost us a pretty penny, as it was 3.5 inches longer than the standard length. I am wearing... black yoga pants and a gray and purple t-shirt **edited to add... that I have now added a sweatshirt to the attire, its gotten chilly in the house!

I am creating... still many crochet projects

I am going... to be very busy with sewing on buttons and other sewing projects ttaht will be in my craft show. I really don't like sewing, but it needs to get done.

I am wondering... how the phone interview will go that I have later today.

I am reading... still the same book as last week, but not every day, only a little bit here and there. I just can't seem to get in to reading any books right now.

Weekend in review

Friday ~ I had John's car, as his brakes were making a horrible grinding sound....it was just safer for him to take my truck to work, as I only had to go out for groceries. I worked on crochet projects for the day. Once John got home, he mowed the lawn and got things ready for him to do his brakes first thing in the morning.

Saturday ~ I made us some turnovers for breakfast, then John went to work on his brakes. After we had dinner we cleared out the kitchen (again), and got ready to start the countertops! Still fearing the unknown.. but you have to start somewhere!

I am so very pleased with how they turned out!!

Sunday ~ church in the morning, then lunch at Bud n Stanely's, a little shopping at Goodwill; then I went to Walmart to pick up an area rug that I found on clearance. After a brief nap, we went back to work in the kitchen. After a light sanding, we started putting on the polyurethane. Its going to take several coats I do believe. We are putting the sink back in place, as I can't go much longer without running water in the kitchen!
