Handmade Monday

I found out about this through Jessy at Our Side of the Mountain, and thought I would start posting all of my fun little creations I make.

I have been busy making lots of things for my upcoming craft show in November. This past week its has been hats. I have made several of these cute frog hats, and snowmen hats. A few of them I have made girly by adding a flower to the hats. As well as this bumble bee hat and tushie cover.









I have so much more to get done in the next few weeks! From towels, dishcloths, cup cozies and rice bags. its going to be a crazy few weeks!!

Craft desk

I love my desk in my craft room. While it doesn't look this clean and organized right now, as it has lots of things scattered all over it, I am still loving it!

I want to look into getting some Fulterer soft close drawer slides, as the drawers close really fast, and I have pinched my fingers in there quite a few times! I also need to touch up a few paint spot, as I see that it is chipping already. I may need to give it a clear coat spray job, just to seal the paint.

DIY ~ shelves and boxes

A little DIY for the week. I loved how they turned out! Have a looksee!

Diy ~ necklace/bracelet holder

So I have ventured into youtube, and have my own channel set up, and have been uploading a few videos and have my first DIY up. I had a couple of these necklace holders already made, but they were too small, and cluttered looking, so I decided to make a bigger one, and did it in a video. (I am still trying to get used to seeing myself on camera... ugh) Anywho, hope you enjoy! And if you like, please subscribe to my youtube channel (trying to grow my fan base.... )

My next project

I have another project to complete before Christmas. I have my knitting/crochet projects on a slight hold, due to some minor cuts on my fingers Hoping they heal up real fast, as I still have some presents to complete.

But this is up next! A trip to either Michaels or JoAnn's is in my future. I first have to see what all I have, and then make a list of what else I need to get. I saw this posted on Pinterest:

Quadropus

Have some "single gloves" laying around and want a fun craft to do, try this out...



Materials

* Single glove
* Needle and thread
* Dry rice
* Hot glue
* Large pom-pom
* Buttons
* Wire
* Ribbon
* Felt

Instructions

1. First, tuck the thumb inside the glove and use a needle and thread (an embroidery needle works fine) to sew it shut. Fill the glove with dry rice, then tuck the cuff inside.

2. Stitch all along the cuff's edge, then pull the thread tightly to close the top. Knot the thread.

3. Step 3 Sew or hot-glue a large pom-pom to the top of the glove. At the base of the quadropus -- where the glove's fingers attach to the palm -- pinch the sides together and sew a few stitches to hold them, as shown. This will help make the body rounder.

4. Step 4 To make the tentacles, attach buttons to the undersides of the four fingers with hot glue. Sew or hot-glue on button eyes and a felt mouth. Make earrings by threading stacks of buttons onto pieces of wire; tie ribbon around the pom-pom for a head scarf, or add a felt brim to the pom-pom for a hat.
