The Burn ~ book review

 photo book_zpsjze7aseq.jpg
From the back of the book:
"The Burn offers three nutrition programs strategically engineered to achieve highly speci?c results.

I-BURN for Inflammation
Targets the body’s inflammatory reactions to food and flushes out toxins.

I-Burn
Your body needs the 3-day I-Burn if you:

– Have puffy bags and/or dark circles under your eyes
– Are having trouble getting your rings off at the end of the day
– Have fat accumulating around your lower back and hanging over your pants
– Are dehydrated, even though you keep drinking water
D-BURN for Digestive Dysfunction
Unblocks the body’s digestion, creating a flat belly and tighter hips and thighs.

D-Burn

Your body needs the 5-day D-Burn if you:

– Notice bloating after eating meals
– Have heartburn or indigestion once a week or more often
– Have fat stores that feel hard and dense, and have a protruding stomach or thick hard rolls around your waistline

H-BURN for Hormone Imbalances
Stabilizes the body’s natural hormone production and regulatory systems.

H-Burn

Your body needs the 10-day H-Burn if you:

– Are losing hair at the crown of your head or growing it in weird places
– Have rapidly gained weight that refuses to budge
– Are feeling moody, irritable, or weepy
– Have high cholesterol"

My thoughts on this book: The author is pretty detailed with all of the step by step plans for the 3, 5 or 10 day eating plans that can help you if you have inflammation, digestive or hormonal issues. She even gives out grocery lists for each plan, that will not break your budget! Which is a plus for me.

I did the drop 3 in 3 plan, and love the results! It helped diminish the horrible bags/dark circles I have been dealing with here as of late! I can't wait to read more in depth of the 10 day plan, to see if it will really help with the hormonal issues I am dealing with.

Check out this book, if you are in that "I'm in a rut, with my diet", it might just be the boost you need to kick start your metabolism again!

I received this book from blogging for books to do a review.

Thoughts for the day

Are there any fad diets that work out there? I was up early today, hate when I can't sleep! Anyways, I was flipping through channels, and here were so many different infomercials trying to sell the lasted diet aid. I will admit, I have been tempted to buy some of the stuff, but know if I did, my hubby wouldn't like it. So I moved on to see if there were any movies on to watch. None jumped out at me, so I logged on the computer and played some games.

Just about the time I started to get drowsy, I heard my hubby's alarm going off. So much for going back to bed. I got him up and going, made his coffee and lunch, then worked on my grocery list. I logged into our bank account to get a nice surprise.. NOT. His paycheck was so very small, not what I was expecting! He was shocked as well, and both of us said at the same time, "I bet they didn't put in my 8 hours of vacation time for last Monday." With knowing this, I set a price of what I wanted to do for groceries. I am so very proud of myself, and was under by 96 cents! Go me! I got everything on my list, nothing had to be put back. I even got a coupon for 5 cents off every gallon of gas. I didn't fill up when I left the store, and glad I didn't, as when I went back out an hour or so later, the price per gallon dropped. I ended up getting my gas for $2.40 per gallon. So not only did I slash my grocery bill by about $25 from my norm, I even slashed my budgeted amount for gas for the truck by about $15! Every bit helps, when I know that our budget for this week was shot to heck by the mistake at work!

I was hoping he would have come home with a check for the difference in what his check should have been, but he ended up taking a half vacation day, due to being really slow. He made sure it was well documented this time, so we don't have any surprises next week!

Thought for the day

If you knew some of the side effects of methadrene 25 would you still take it?

I started the new year with a goal of how much I wanted to lose this year, and get healthy. My exercising has been put on hold right now, due to my arm. I have maintained what I have lost so far, so that is good, but I want to lose more. I don't know if I would be desperate to take some diet pill, that had so many side effects. I have enough problems with dizziness, let alone taking something that would make me dizzier.

I just need to see what I can do that doesn't involve my arm.

Arm update

Photobucket

This is what I get to wear for the next 4 weeks or so. I do have to admit it has helped with the pain in my arm, but the minute I took it off, to wash dishes boy oh boy did it start hurting. I am so hoping that this therapy works, as I don't really want to go the surgery route.

I asked the therapist about working out, and she said it would be kind of difficult. I could try, but to not over do it. So this means I need to start looking at the different diet supplement reviews and diet recipes to help me lose weight. I had a pop today for the first time in 15 days, and it tasted terrible. Only had a few sips, and dumped it out.

Maybe tonight I can get a good night's sleep, without the fear of my hubby rolling over on my arm!
