Saturday 9

Too Close

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
Saturday 9: Too Close (2011)

Unfamiliar with this week's song? Hear it here.

1) This song is about a friendship that turned romantic ... and it doesn't end happily. Have you ever crossed that line with a friend? If so, how did it work out? never had it happen

2) When he was a kid, this week's singer, Alex Clare, listened to his dad's Stevie Wonder records. When you were in 7th/8th grades, what music were you into? probably whatever my parents listened too, country I think

3) "Too Close" has been featured on the TV show, The Vampire Diaries. Do you enjoy shows/books/movies about the supernatural? some I do

4) Some of Alex Clare's tour dates were sponsored by Bud Light. Do you like beer? no

5) Mr. Clare trained to be a chef, just in case the music thing didn't work out. Are you a good cook? I am

6) Crazy Sam is forever running out of mayo because she slathers it on her sandwiches. What is currently on your grocery list? parmasen cheese

7) Where are you most likely to find spare change -- between the sofa cushions, in your jeans as you toss them into the washer, or under the floor mat of your car? couch and the dryer

8) How did you spend your Friday night -- working late, hanging out with friends, or just enjoying a quiet night at home? sitting at home watch The Incredibles with my hubby

9) Do you use Pinterest? all the time

Sunday Stealing

The Seventeen Meme

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme.
Let's go!!!

Happy Anniversary

 photo 387ccc89-c025-4db9-8e9e-13e453e74a12_zps3296ee75.gif

This weekend didn't turn out how I thought it would. The whole weekend was spent at home, with John out in the garage working on my truck. The alternator went out, and it has been a huge pain in the butt for him to get out. We have postponed out night out until next weekend. So our dinner for tonight was pizza from Jets (not my favorite, but that's what he wanted).

First he needs to clean!

John wants to work on building another bass guitar, so he can get a bass drum muffler from guitar center. But first he needs to clean the basement!

I don't know how he can function with the mess he has down there! I am almost half tempted to go down there and start cleaning it myself. I think that this mess is somewhat of the culprit of the nasal infection he has right now! Between all the dust and wood shavings from the entertainment project its a wonder he isn't flat on his back!

I do have to sweep around the litter box, but will do that once I change it. That will be the extent of what I clean down there.

Begging

He's just like a little kid when the big Christmas catalog comes out. My hubby that is; he is drooling and really wants this: mxr super badass distortion pedal. My answer is "No" until he admits that yes, he can play well. I am tired of all of his negative comments, but then starts in with how he wants this and that item. Or, if he sells off some of the multiply amps, then possibly he can buy this pedal. We shall see!

Baked Pork Chops

This is what's for dinner tonight... baked pork chops, scalloped potatoes, corn and rolls

6 pork chops
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
2 egg, beaten
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups Italian-style seasoned bread crumbs
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup white wine

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Rinse pork chops, pat dry, and season with garlic powder and seasoning salt to taste. Place the beaten eggs in a small bowl. Dredge the pork chops lightly in flour, dip in the egg, and coat liberally with bread crumbs.

Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the pork chops 5 minutes per side, or until the breading appears well browned. Transfer the chops to a 9x13 inch baking dish, and cover with foil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. While baking, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk and white wine in a medium bowl. After the pork chops have baked for an hour, cover them with the soup mixture. Replace foil, and bake for another 30 minutes.

Music ideas

Where does one look for the best berringer monitors? This I believe will be the next thing the hubby will look for after he finishes the guitar and amp he is wanting to build. Yes, he has the bug to build again, why I have no clue, as he will just put himself down, but whatever!

I say we should put all building items aside and concentrate on cleaning the basement and keeping it clean. I wish he would have the same mentality as I, clean as you go, then you won't have the mess to deal with for months upon months! I so dislike how the basement looks, but its not my area, so I just deal with it.

Sometimes I just want to scream!

There are days when I just want to scream! My husband irritates me with all of his put downs on himself! Last night was one of those nights! I had had just about enough with all of him comments over the week and spouted off. First it was him looking at things to make for yet another vox amplifier, and when I asked why, as he made a comment of not playing all that good anyways earlier in the week. Why spend money on things, when you won't even play them!?!?

So now this morning (after he decided to sleep in the basement), he is back looking at items to buy to make another amp. I haven't said two words to him since I got up, as I am still so irritated with how he has been this week! I am ready for him to go back to work! This has been one long week!
