Weekend in Review

Weekend rewind. If you want to play along, grab the above button and tell me all about your weekend!

Friday ~ Normal workday, plus had Trent home sick - told him he had to be dieing first for before I canceled my trip to Chicago for the weekend. He slept most of the day, felt up to play a few rounds of rockband with John, but finally gave up and went to bed before 9. I packed for the weekend.
Saturday ~ Chicago!!!

Robyn, Cary, Jess and I headed off to the windy city at 7:30. We went to the hotel first, just to see if we could park the car in the ramp. That we could, and if we wanted we could check in around noon (we had to see if we would be close at that time), got the car squared away, then went shopping and off to Navy Pier. By the time we were done at the pier we were ready to take a bus back to the Cheesecake Factory ~ walking back was to much, and the wind was picking up... brrrr. That was a first for me... a public bus ride.

Back to the hotel, to rest a bit, then get ready for the night out on the town. We wanted Chicago pizza, but the wait was ridiculous at the few places we stopped at, and ended up going to Chili's. Then we went to Friday's for a few drinks. Had a really cute bartender... he was Christopher's age... so it was so very weird to be flirting with someone my son's age!

Sunday ~ Checked out of the hotel and off to Ed Debevic's for breakfast - the food was ok this yes... Next stop - Michigan City for shopping at the outlet mall. Then home. I was so tired, talked for a bit with the hubby and Trent, then off to bed for me.
