What an experience! The appointment started off with 20 minutes of moist heat, then 10 minutes of the ultrasound. The best part was the deep tissue massage, she could have done that all day, but it all came to and end all too soon. Next up was the electric shock stimulation. HOLY Cow! So didn't know what to think of that. My arm was hooked up to several different patches for the electrodes to be attached to. The first 15 minutes I was told I would feel a tapping sensation, and my arm/fingers would jump. Sure enough! What a weird feeling! The 2nd 15 minutes, Oh. My. God! This is supposed to mask the pain to help it go away... I told her that I didn't feel any pain per say, as I have been in a splint for the last 4 days, and haven't used my arm. The sensation was that I would feel a tingly, numbness kind of feeling. I did, and all the while still felt the tapping in a few other spots. My one hour appointment, lasted an hour and a half.
Throughout the day, my arm throbbed, making me think what the heck did I get myself into! I almost wanted to deal with
acne breakouts instead of this! I have to go back on Wednesday for more of the same, hopefully it won't be as bad. I just want to be able to use my arm normally again!
To top off the day, Trent was complaining of a toothache, so off to the dentist we will go tomorrow. He needs to feel better, as this is exam week for him.
Well I am off to go start watching the Bachelor, gotta love DVR!
