Yarn Along

"The Yarn Along began in early Fall 2010 as a way to share knitting projects and good reads; motivating ourselves, and inspiring each other.  Every week knitters, and a few crocheters as well, link up and share a photo (or two) of what they are knitting and what they are reading.  Knowing that Yarn Along Wednesday is coming up is a great way to stay motivated to finish those projects!  And I, for one, am always on the lookout for a great book recommendation as well."

If you enjoy the Yarn Along, I invite you to grab one of Yarn Along's buttons to share on your own blog.  She has made them in a rainbow of colors so you can grab the one that suits you best!

I am working on a poncho for a special little girl. I am hoping that the colors I picked look good together once its completed. While I am crocheting, I am just starting a new book, "The Friendships of Women" by Dee Brestin.

I am excited to do some blog hopping and see what others are working on and reading.

"Who Do I Lean On?"

The 3rd book in the House of Hope series is out! I had went to my local bookstore to pre-order Take Four by Karen Kingsbury and saw this one on the shelf. So I had to get that one as well! My reading stack is getting taller again!

You can check out her other books by going here. I have to find a few of the Yada Yada books to complete the series.

What's on your reading list?

Books and movies

I have a stack of books just waiting to be read. Now that I am on crafting hiatus, I have more time for my other love... reading. I finished up "Dug Down Deep" by Joshua Harris, which is a really good book. It makes you think. It tied right in with what we are hearing at our church. I am in the middle of "Tea with Hezbollah", wow what a book! I will be doing a review on this next week, over at my other blog.

I had a mini date night with my hubby tonight, we had one more movie to watch, "In the Electric Mist" with Tommy Lee Jones. Very different movie. I have to say, the last few movies we have watched with him in it, weren't all that great. Kinda disappointing, as we both like him. During this movie, I had some terrible gas pains, and had to pause the movie several times. Not sure what I ate, but it was a great colon cleanse, as I don't think anything is left. I know, TMI. I wish that tomorrow was the weigh in day for our Biggest Loser challenge on the mom message board I belong to, as I think I lost a few pounds in the last few hours!

What to do

Being out of commission for doing my crafts, I need to find something else to do to occupy my time. I was thinking about possibly getting started with sewing, as that doesn't require the use of both hands the whole time. I have a few things I bought material for way back when, that has been sitting around. Time to call my cousin to have her help me.

I could just become a couch potato and have my hubby get some KVM switches, and other gadgets and hook me up to all sorts of fun things that I could do hands free. I would like one of those things that you talk into that will then type out what you say. This would come in so very handy right now!

Or I could just dive into all the books that are starting to come in at the library, and just read, read, read. I did do some baking today, made some banana bread and plan on making some banana pudding in a little bit. Have to use up the rotten nanners. Don't want to throw them out, to wasteful!
