Trent knows how to work the "guilt button"...

*sigh*... he will do anything to get me to not go to Chicago this weekend...

Yesterday he said his throat hurt, yeah right, he was being is usual goofy, annoying self. As soon as the daycare kiddos got picked up, I headed out to go see a special viewing of "The Last Song" (Christopher had (2) passes for 2 people). So I had a friend and her daughter and a friend meet me at Star for the free movie. The movie was good.. sad but good.

When I got home Trent met me at the door and said, "Is a 101 fever bad?" Great! I thought he was joking at first, but he took his temp again, and showed me. He didn't feel warm though. I drugged him up and sent him to bed.

This morning he sounded horrible, and was burning up. Ugh. Left him in bed, went and got groceries (Christopher was home). His fever is down to 100.6, and he is just laying around. I told John that he would do this when I want to go away this weekend... he says, "Just go.... I will be here"

Am I am terrible mom for still planning on going, knowing my boy is home sick?

Darn kids anyways!

Silly boy

I think its time for Trent to start wearing his glasses more. He was trying to do homework and couldn't figure it out. And asked me what this word ment, murad. I had no clue, and asked him to use it in a sentence. "There were lots of murals on the wall in this musuem."

I busted out laughing and said, "How did you spell the word to me a minute ago?"

Ding, ding, ding.. the light bulb went off, when he realized he misspelled it. Time for him to wear the googles!

Gonna be a long day

Photobucket

The sickies have invaded the house. Trent has been feeling lousy for the last couple of days. He should have stayed home yesterday, but he wouldn't as he wanted to go to the father/son outing at church for pizza and bowling. By the time he got home last night, he was miserable. I didn't say anything about school, but knew he more than likely wouldn't be going.

I went in to wake him up to see how he was doing, and only heard a muffled, "huh". I told him to go back to sleep, he was staying home. I am hoping he he sleeps most of the morning away.

I am starting to feel a little lousy as well, so I am drugging myself up to help stop anything from getting worse.
