Weekend in Review

I have started a new meme, called Weekend in Review.  I had participated in one like this a while ago, but it has long since stopped.  I liked writing down what I had down over the weekend, whether it was filled with lots activity or just a lazy weekend, so I went ahead and started my own version of this meme.

Friday ~ Grocery shopping in the morning, did a little shopping, that later turned into a return trip to return some items... one of the stores you aren't allowed to try on before hand, so once home I found out that a few items didn't fit, and one I just didn't like it on me.. ugh. The remainder of the day I had planned on just vegging with the pup and was going to crochet.... but got a text from a friend asking if I wanted to go out for dinner for my bday. I said sure! Texted the hubs to let him know what was going on, and that there was leftovers in the fridge for him.

Met up with Jeanine at Olive Garden for dinner.. we usually go to a Mexican restaurant, but had to nix those plans as Mexican was on the plans for the next night with my hubs. We had a yummy dinner and great conversations. Love catching up with her... and it was the 2nd week in a row, as she was the one I met up with last Friday for a funeral we attended.

Saturday ~ All about me today.... its my birthday! Had a lazy morning then got ready to go out for dinner with the hubs at the Betline Bar. They have the best wet burritos! Then it was kayak shopping time. We hit up Dick's, Cabellas and Dunham's. I think this is the one I am going to get. Happy Birthday to me!!

Sunday ~ Church in the morning...upon leaving church this is what we saw

By the time I got home (which is like a 3 minute drive) this was my back yard

5 hours later, we have about 2 inches of snow....yuck!

I made some minestrone soup and homemade bread for lunch, started laundry, worked on afghan, and squeezed in a short nap. And that wraps up the weekend in review!
