I am linking up with Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. Head on over to find some other great bloggers.

For Today... August 27th, 2018

The weather...Its 69° with a high of 89° - its going to be a rainy/stormy day

As I look outside my window...its still dark out, its going to be a stormy, sticky day.

On the breakfast plate. . .I went to McDonald's...I have been craving a bacon egg and cheese mcgriddle

On my bedside table... my alarm clock, Kindle, iPad and a journal

On my reading pile... The Road Home, by Beverly Lewis ~ its been a long, long time since I have read any of her books. I have just started it, but am liking it so far.

Movies or Shows I watched this weekend... with it being our staycation this past week....we did a lot of movie watching. Life of the Party - loved this one, The Post, Unthinkable, Body of Lies - - I started a new series of The Innocents on Netflix

On my TV... Big Brother and Fear the Walking Dead

On the menu for this week... Menu for the week:
Monday ~ sketti, garlic bread and a salad
Tuesday ~ grilled pork chops, julienne potatoes, corn and a salad
Wednesday ~ breakfast
Thursday ~ pizza
Friday ~ Salisbury steak, mashed potates/gravy, green beans and homemade bread
Saturday ~ BLT's and potato salad
Sunday ~ steak, corn on the cob, potato salad

On my to do list... housework and laundry

In the craft basket...I picked back up a cross stitch project and am anxious to finish it, so I can get started on the next one.

Happening this week:
Monday ~ housework, and back to work
Tuesday ~ work
Wednesday ~ work
Thursday ~ craft day, lots of Fall projects I want to get started on
Friday ~ groceries and errands
Saturday ~ not sure yet
Sunday ~ church

Looking around the house... I have some cleaning to do...I think this is the first time in a long time that I actually did nothing while on a staycation. In the past I would still be in clean mode, but not this time...while we didn't do much over the week and stuck close to home....I enjoyed my time off...but now back to reality and get things back in order

From the camera... no pics for this week

What I'm wearing today... a purple tank top and shorts

One of my simple pleasures... sitting on the deck, in the early morning and just thinking

A favorite Bible verse, devotion or quote for today...

In closing...Thank you for stopping by. I hope your week ahead is filled with lots of blessings!

  1. It is definitely sticky in the Detroit area today, but no rain until Wednesday I think. I haven't read Beverly Lewis in a few years, but I have always enjoyed her books!

    Have a wonderful week,

  5. I really loved your cross stitch! Its beautiful! I have never read Beverly Lewis but my husband and I watched the Shunning for the first time the other day and I wondered if I would like them? What is your favorite book by her, and what would you recommend to a beginner?
