I finally got back into the medical field and have been working at the Urgent Care since Dec. part time and really liking my job. The end of June I was getting ready to go on vacation when I got a text from a co-worker telling me if I could, check my email before we left as things just got crazy at work and I needed to submit a job preference before Wed that week. They were/are shaking things up at the urgent cares and my nice little shift of 4-8 M-F was gone. We were all going to 12+ hour shifts. I would still be part time, but on a weird rotating schedule which now included weekends. So not what I signed up for! The shifts were 7:45 am to 8:30 pm, or whenever the last patient left the urgent care. NOT!
I started applying within in the hospitals website, and luckily got a few interviews. Well, yesterday I got a call with and "acceptance/transfer" offer, that will now put me as full time, but will be days M-F 8-5. I am excited, but nervous! I will be home at night now, which all the guys are happy about, and the most excited thing they say is that I can now start making homemade pizza again.
