Sunday ramblings

Today I wanted to go for a drive after church, but plans were changed after the hubby woke up to find a flat tire. He used the air compressor to get enough air in it to hold until after church (or so he thought). He went out and checked the tire half way through service to find it flat. We tried the spare, but that was flat as well (he never thought to check that, as he had never used it since getting the car). So we took the tire to the gas station to pump it up to get him back home.

We then stopped at Belle Tire, as they were having a sale on tires, only to find out AFTER purchasing the said tires, that they weren't open for installation. Grrrr So we scrambled to figure out what were going to do for tomorrow, as we both needed cars, he to work, and me to take T to school. After lunch the hubs called his dad to ask some business questions that later led into a discussion about the car, to which we are now borrowing his Tahoe for the day/night.

So off we went to their house to get it. I hadn't planned on staying long, as I don't like driving at night out by their place, with all the deer. Its never a quick stop over there though. They tried feeding us, as usual, but we refused. We watched a show on the history channel about Al Capone, which for some reason led into talks about diets, and if we had heard about this diet, chromium picolinate for weight loss. John's aunt had mentioned it to them. Never heard of it. I am assuming that this is for my mother in law, as my father in law is still needed to regain back all of his weight since his illness.

I finally said I was heading home, as I had some work to do, and wanted to finish sewing a project so I could get it stuffed in the morning. On the way home, I came up over the first hill from their house only to see 10 deer in the road, and they weren't moving for nothing. So the whole way home I drove really slow. I really hate this time of year out in the country! Still waiting for my hubby to get home!
