Do you have a dream?

Do you have a dream or a goal, that you think it to big to achieve? Sometimes, you just have to keep on searching for ways to make those dreams and or goals come alive! I have always wanted to have my own yarn/cafe shop, and still do. I need to start working on the ways to make this happen. My biggest challenge right now is the financial aspect of this dream. I love to crochet, and have sold a few items over the years via word of mouth. But the thought of a cute little shop with my items, and lots of fun yarns just appeals to me. I would love for people to come in, browse, ask for pointers, or even offer classes all while they sip on a cup of coffee or tea.

I need to work on the obstacle of the financial aspect of this goal I have in my mind. One day I hope to say I have my own shop!!

With that said, I have teamed up with Grace Hill Media to help promote this awesome movie: "GREATER" which is an inspirational movie based on the life of Brandon Burlsworth that reminds us that any dream is possible. GREATER releases in theaters this August 26. Check out the clip below.

I have a $25 gift card to Walmart to help with any last minute Back to School shopping you need to do. Along with a couple of jerserys with Brandon's number/name on them. Is there a dream or goal you or your kids have. Leave a comment down below and I will pick a winner on Saturday August 27th. Just keep encouraging your kids to pursue their dreams!

God's Not Dead 2

Are you as excited as I am for this movie?? I can hardly wait! I loved the first one and know I will like this one just as much. God’s Not Dead 2 is the sequel to the highest-grossing independent faith film of 2014. The film stars Melissa Joan Hart, Jesse Metcalfe, Sadie Robertson and veteran actors Ray Wise, Jon Lindstrom, and Ernie Hudson. The movie also includes special guest star Pat Boone and cameo performances from The Newsboys and Gov. Mike Huckabee.

What would you do if you shared your faith in Jesus Christ with someone? And it was deemed illegal? Would you be brave enough to take a stand in the public square knowing you could lose everything? God’s Not Dead 2 is about taking a stand. It’s about courage and faith, and will ask each and every one of us to reflect on if we would have the strength to fight for our right to share and express our beliefs no matter the cost?

Synopsis: From the college classroom of GOD'S NOT DEAD to the public square in GOD'S NOT DEAD 2, the name of Jesus is welcomed less and less with each passing day. If Christians don't take a stand today, will we even have a choice tomorrow? The film takes you back to Hope Springs, home to the University, but also Martin Luther King Jr. High School, where beloved teacher Grace Wesley teaches her passion, history. Her love of teaching, her love for her students, and her love of life all come from the same place: her love of Christ. When a student asks a question regarding Jesus in class, Grace's answer causes her to face an epic court case, that could expel God from the classroom.

Gov. Mike Huckabee endorsement, "A riveting story, brilliantly told, and one that is absolutely plausible as if it were taken from today's headlines. A must see for every believer!"

Here's a sneak preview of the story, which will be releasing April 1, 2016. Check out the website for more information: God's Not Dead 2

Movie review and a Giveaway!

I was given the opportunity to view the movie Woodlawn before it is out in theaters. I have loved other movies that Pure Flix has made, and knew that I would enjoy this one just as much.

Here’s the quick synopsis: From Pure Flix (GOD’S NOT DEAD, DO YOU BELIEVE?), Roma Downey and Mark Burnett (THE BIBLE, SON OF GOD) and the Erwin Brothers (MOM’S NIGHT OUT, OCTOBER BABY) comes WOODLAWN, an exhilarating high school football drama and remarkable true story of how love and unity overcame racism and hate in early 1970s Birmingham, Alabama. Starring Academy Award winner Jon Voight, Sean Astin, Nic Bishop and newcomer Caleb Castille, WOODLAWN depicts the spiritual awakening that captured the hearts of a team and unified an entire city.

Enjoy the trailer:

I love how the players all come together to overcome the racial split. The meaning behind this movie, is something that I wish everyone could grasp! We all need to overcome the hate between races. I think the director, Andy Erwin says it best: “I’m passionate about the truth that the only way to overcome hate is by a greater law – and that’s love and forgiveness. And Jesus is the ultimate way to receive and give both love and forgiveness.”

These are the items I have for the giveaway. I was given two sets, one for myself and one to give away to on of my readers.

 photo 1552ba2c-8e8f-404f-8b2f-dafcfdc0b3c4_zpssbmyliuc.jpg

TOUCHDOWN TONY, by Tony Nathan, the autobiography of the superstar player on whose life the film is based.

WHEN GOD SHOWS UP, by Robert Noland, a 40-day devotional tied to the themes of the film.

I am already enjoying the 40 devotional, and my boys have already got their hands on the books, so once they are finished with them I will be reading them.

This is a family friendly movie that all will enjoy. Its out in theaters Oct. 16th, 2015. If you get the chance, go see this movie!!

Movie review and a giveaway

 photo 14ab4135-bec2-4ac4-95bc-680e9d588d4e_zpsf1uzlg75.jpg

I was given the opportunity to review a movie before it airs, and have a giveaway with some one-of-a-kind giveaway items. The movie is a Hallmark Movies & Mysteries; “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Truth Be Told”, which premieres on Sunday, September 13 at 9pm ET/PT, 8C. Created, executive produced and written by "Touched By An Angel" Executive Producer Martha Williamson.

A video preview:

The cast:

Eric Mabius ... Oliver O'Toole
Kristin Booth ... Shane McInerney
Crystal Lowe ... Rita Haywith
Geoff Gustafson ... Norman Dorman
Guest starring: Gregory Harrison (“One Tree Hill,” “Trapper John M.D.”).

From Hallmark: The POstables are on a mission to deliver a soldier's letter from Afghanistan, while Oliver's estranged father surprises him with news that shakes him to the core.

I loved the movie, its a traditional Hallmark movie the will tug at your heart strings. While watching movies that are war related, I feel for the characters, but now that my son is in the military, I always view the movies different, as I put myself in their shoes. I found myself wanting to wrap my arms around the teenager and comfort her. As for Oliver, I too could relate as I found out late in life that I too had two fathers, so that touched me as well.

So if you are looking for a great family movie to watch on Sunday, tune in on Sunday night at 9 pm ET/PT, 8C; you won't be disappointed.

Now for the giveaway, the following is what's up for grabs. This giveaway will be open until noon Monday 9/14. I will then do a random draw of the winner. I will have a post up later on Monday announcing the winner. Comment below with "Enter me". That's it, so good luck!!

· A vintage novel based on the series

American Sniper giveaway

 photo 96089dca-db6c-4874-a835-182e15bedebb_zps3dodcn32.jpg
My husband and I went and saw this on the big screen a few months ago and loved the movie. Such a powerful movie, and still blows me away as to how quiet everyone was once the movie ended and was walking out. The sacrifices these men and women make sometimes is heartbreaking! I now look at these war movies in a different light, with my son now in the military.

SYNOPSIS

From director Clint Eastwood comes “American Sniper,” starring Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle, whose skills as a sniper made him a hero on the battlefield.

But there was much more to him than his skill as a sharpshooter.

Navy SEAL Chris Kyle is sent to Iraq with only one mission: to protect his brothers-in-arms. His pinpoint accuracy saves countless lives on the battlefield, and as stories of his courageous exploits spread, he earns the nickname “Legend.” However, his reputation is also growing behind enemy lines, putting a price on his head and making him a prime target of insurgents. He is also facing a different kind of battle on the home front: striving to be a good husband and father from halfway around the world.

 photo AS-05952r_zpsicixkc2b.jpg

Despite the danger, as well as the toll on his family at home, Chris serves through four harrowing tours of duty in Iraq, personifying the spirit of the SEAL creed to “leave no one behind.” But upon returning to his wife, Taya (Sienna Miller), and kids, Chris finds that it is the war he can’t leave behind.
