Tasty Tuesday ~ Ham and Cheese Omelet in the Waffle Iron
I found this cookbook at Joann's of all places. So many fun recipes to try, and first up is an omelet! I used my own ingredients and will add what I used after the actual recipes ingredients.
Ingredients
4 eggs (I used 3)
2 T half and half (I used milk)
6 fully cooked bacon strips, crumbled (canadian bacon diced)
1/2 cup schredded cheese
1/4 cup chopped tomato (I don't do tomato in my omelets)
3 green onions, sliced
Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat and lighty grease your waffle irom.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and half and half, until well blended. Stir in the bacon, cheese, tomato, green onions, salt and pepper.
Pour part of the mixture onto the hot iron, close the lid, and cook until the eggs are done to your liking. I cooked mine for 4 1/2 minutes.
The longer the eggs are in the iron, the easier it is to remove them.

That looks like a neat idea. I may just have to try it! :)
