Homemaker Monday

Ahhhh....so far this Monday is going off without a hitch. No shenanigans with the pup, the hubs is off to work, and I am sitting down with my breakfast and working on this HHM. So happy Monday everyone!!

So now let's get on with the HHM post!

I am linking up with Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. Head on over to find some other great bloggers.

For Today... Aug 5th, 2019

The weather...Its 60°.... And the high of 87° for today.

As I look outside my window...A glimpse of the sunrise

On my bedside table... my alarm clock, Kindle, iPad and a journal

On my reading pile... Never Play Dead by Tomi Lahren - I love her boldness.

Movies or Shows I watched this weekend... Netflix - Wentworth Season 7.

On my TV... Handmaid's Tail, Yellowstone, Big Brother

On the menu for this week...
Monday ~ sketti, garlic knots and a salad
Tuesday ~ not sure yet
Wednesday ~ breakfast
Thursday ~ pizza
Friday ~ not sure yet
Saturday ~ not sure yet
Sunday ~ not sure yet

In the craft basket... working on a temperature afghan, week 31 of 52 completed -still in the gold. Started a new cross stitch

the new stitch project "Raindrops"

Happening this week:
Monday ~ work, work out (leg day)
Tuesday ~ work, work out (arm day)
Wednesday ~ work
Thursday ~ housework, craft day
Friday ~ groceries, hubs has an eye appt in the afternoon
Saturday ~ work out (leg day), drag races in the evening
Sunday ~ church, and not sure what else

Looking around the house... things are in a disarray. We are in the midst of doing some updating, so paint samples are askew, things are moved around and its cluttered and making me crazy!

From the camera... new bedding, the pup, clouds and a snowflake finish

The start of the bedroom makeover.... we have been in our house for 22 years and the only room in the house that we never did antything to is our bedroom. I have a gray color picked out for the walls...found this bedding (kept 2 deco pillows from our last bed set). Just need to find the curtains and the room will be done!

But I don’t want to go to bed....

cloud pics

the finished snowflake cross stitch... I have since pressed it, and will be turning it into a pillow, more of a flat pillow...pics to come maybe next week

What I'm wearing today... purple/gray Oakley workout top and the purple yoga pants that go with the top

One of my simple pleasures... New bedding that is freshly washed

A favorite Bible verse, devotion or quote for today...

On my prayer list... for family, friends and our country

In closing...Thank you for stopping by. I hope your week ahead is filled with lots of blessings!

  8. I love the color grey in bedrooms, it's such a soothing color and so much better than boring old white/cream colors.

Your temperature afghan is coming along amazingly! And I totally agree, fresh bed sheets are the best thing in the world, especially if you just shave your legs before getting in. Total heaven!
