Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Monday! Its the last Monday of August. What? Where did this month go? The weather is starting to get cooler, and Fall is fast approaching. I am ready for it, but still sad to see Summer coming to an end. Its almost time to start my Fall decorating. I usually do it Labor day weekend and Day, but I have to work on Labor Day, so my decorating will be pushed out a week. So maybe this weekend I can get the hubs to help paint our bedroom.

Now onto the Happy Homemaker Monday post.

I am linking up with Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. Head on over to find some other great bloggers.

For Today... Aug 26th, 2019

The weather...Its 61°.... And the high of 73° for today. It looks like a rainy afternoon is in store for us today.

As I look outside my window...Day is breaking, and you can just barely see the sunrise through the clouds

On my bedside table... my alarm clock, Kindle, iPad and a journal

On my reading pile... Never Play Dead by Tomi Lahren - I love her boldness. Almost done with this one.

Movies or Shows I watched this weekend... I binged watch Season 3 of 13 Reasons Why on Netflix

On my TV... Handmaid's Tail, Yellowstone, Big Brother, Fear the Walking Dead

On the menu for this week...
Monday ~ spaghetti and garlic bread
Tuesday ~ tacos
Wednesday ~ breakfast
Thursday ~ pizza
Friday ~ burgers, fries, peaches
Saturday ~ not sure yet
Sunday ~ not sure yet - maybe having the boys over for a cookout.

In the craft basket... working on a temperature afghan, week 34 of 52 completed - another round of green. I was asked to make a tooth fairy doll, so started on that. And worked on the same cross stitch.

I am getting the hang of stitching on black

The start of the tooth fairy doll

Happening this week:
Monday ~ work
Tuesday ~ work
Wednesday ~ work
Thursday ~ housework, craft day, Lici to the groomer
Friday ~ groceries, taking the hubs to his eye doctor appt
Saturday ~ painting in the bedroom - hopefully
Sunday ~ church, boys over maybe

Looking around the house... I rearranged the living room last week, and am not really liking it... so may be rearranging yet again this week.

From the camera... Took the hubs to work last Thursday (down to one car right now, and I didn't want to be stuck at home on my day off) and took this pic of the sunrise. And then I was playing around on Snapchat and took this one.. I love the filters they have.

What I'm wearing today... purple top and black leggings

One of my simple pleasures... Smelling freshly baked banana bread

A favorite Bible verse, devotion or quote for today...

On my prayer list... My husband - eye. A guy at my church, he had another major seizure and is in the ICU. For a friends son, who fell 9ft from one roof to another and has a broken collar bone, and a shoulder injury, and will be at the orthopedic surgeon this week.

In closing...Thank you for stopping by. I hope your week ahead is filled with lots of blessings!
