I am linking up with Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. Head on over to find some other great bloggers.
For Today... July 22nd, 2019
The weather...Its 64°.... And the high of 79° for today...such a drastic change from last weeks temps in the 80's and 90's
As I look outside my window...The sky is full of clouds. Beautiful morning!
On my bedside table... my alarm clock, Kindle, iPad and a journal
On my reading pile... Never Play Dead by Tomi Lahren - only a few pages in so far
Movies or Shows I watched this weekend... Netflix - Secret Obsession.... on the TV the hubs had several Apollo shows going over the week, leading up to the 50th anniversary of the landing on the moon.
On my TV... Bacherlorette, Handmaid's Tail, Yellowstone, Big Brother
On the menu for this week...
Monday ~ sketti, garlic knots and a salad
Tuesday ~ fish, rice, corn
Wednesday ~ breakfast
Thursday ~ pizza
Friday ~ nacho deluxe
Saturday ~ not sure yet
Sunday ~ pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn
In the craft basket... working on a temperature afghan, week 29 of 52 completed - stuck on gold. I finished my Love Is Books cross stitch, just needs pressed and framed. Picked up the Snowflake one and have made lots of progress on it
Love is BooksSnowflakes
Happening this week:
Monday ~ work, work out (leg day)
Tuesday ~ work, work out (arm day)
Wednesday ~ work, work out (leg day)
Thursday ~ housework, craft day
Friday ~ groceries, errands
Saturday ~ hopefully a day of cleaning out the basement, as we didn't do this over vacation like planned
Sunday ~ church
Looking around the house... oh boy... so much cleaning needs to be done.... not much was done over the last week... I figured I was on vacation just like the hubs, so that meant I didn't have to do my normal stuff with us being at home this week.
From the camera... I didn't take many pics over the week, as the hubs is just not into taking pics (which annoys me, but whatever)... I did get this one of him while we were at Cook's (a hot dog restaurant - so I could snap it to Trent, as this is his favorite restaurant, so he was jealous..lol).
Then a few cloud pics of a storm that rolled in, they don't look as threatening in the pics, but in real life they were quite creepy looking.
What I'm wearing today... purple tank top and some palm tree leggings
One of my simple pleasures... spending time with the hubs
A favorite Bible verse, devotion or quote for today...
On my prayer list... family, friends and our country
In closing...Thank you for stopping by. I hope your week ahead is filled with lots of blessings!
Sorry your stayccation was over so fast. Getting back to routine is always nice though too. I've been hearing a lot about that book - looking forward to what you think of it. LOVE all the cloud pictures. And I really LOVE your inspiration this week. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteSorry your staycation is over, but getting back into your routine is a good thing, too. 64 degress sounds heavenly, but, after a week of triple-digit heat indexes, I'm happy with today's high of 81. The temperature afghan is coming along nicely. I'm still stuck in pumpkin and ranch red here. LOL! Have a blessed week ahead! <3
ReplyDeleteYour handiwork is always so gorgeous.. I absolutely love the book crossstitch! Sublime!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the staycation and sorry that the end of it means back to work for the hubby. I don't know what I would do with Mike working out of the home.
ReplyDeleteI'd just about kill for 64 degrees...hopefully in a few months we will see that kind of temperatures...in the evenings lol.
Those cloud pictures are mesmerizing. I have an obsession with clouds, I think they are one of the most gorgeous parts of God's creations.
Have a wonderful week!
If I ever finish the baby blanket I'm working on finished, I might get my cross stitch out. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI hope you can stop by:

Love your inspiration for the week, such a great reminder. The cloud pictures are beautiful and those storm clouds do look a bit ominous. Glad you were able to enjoy your staycation & hope you have a great week getting back into your routine!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful staycation Jodi! And you're absolutely entitled to have taken a break from the housework. Lol You guys seem so cute and antiquing is one of my faves too! 😊 Love seeing your crafting projects as always. I wish I made those things more of a priority of my time. It's something I plan to change this Fall! Love your inspiration too. Blessings xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool post! I love how you have laid out the weather, what you’re watching, reading, wearing, eating! We just watched Secret Obsession too! I really liked it!! Sounds like you are so productive. I love that you knit(?) or cross-stitch (Sorry don’t know the term) that is such an amazing talent. Wonderful post and thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you had such a relaxing staycation. I love how organized you are. Even your menu for the week. Most days I don't know what I will be doing 5 minutes from now. God bless my sweet friend. ❤
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got some down time and got to visit with family. Getting back to our normal routines after a vacation is no fun. I'm coming for supper this week.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend!
