Saturday 9.
Welcome to Saturday 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
Saturday 9: Ooh La La (2013)
Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.
1) "Ooh la la" is defined as an interjection said when you think someone or something is "surprising, unusual or attractive." Looking back over this week, did you come across anything that deserves an "ooh la la?" well its a silly one... the bitmoji's where you can create one to resemble yourself... we created one for the hubs... and dang it all if its not spot on for him... so when he sends me texts with some of them.. they make me go... Oooo la la!
2) In this song, Britney Spears sings that she's eager to accompany you, even if you're not a millionaire. But let's say you suddenly become really rich. What's the first leisure trip you would take with your new funds? Who would you bring along? Oh, I'm heading to Hawaii with the hubs
3) Britney is eager to dance with you, even if you don't wear designer clothes. Let's say you need to add a blouse (or shirt) to your wardrobe. Where's your go-to for clothes shopping? well because I am cheap, I would hit up Family Dollar first if I couldn't find anything there then it would be Walmart, Target, TJ Maxx or Marshalls.
4) The video begins with Britney at the movies with her two young sons. Will you be seeing any family members this weekend? well the hubs for sure, maybe one of the boys
5) This is a theme from the movie Smurfs 2. A Smurf is a little blue creature who lives in a mushroom-shaped house in the forest. Assuming that your home is not shaped like a mushroom and isn't in the forest, how would you describe your abode? (Mansion, ranch house, farm house, high-rise, igloo ...) its a two story house... I like it.. but I am ready to get back to a ranch style house
6) Britney admits to smoking and biting her nails. What bad habit do you wish you could break? biting my nails... I have stopped the acrylics (for now), so I have resorted back to biting mine.. ugh! need to get them back to a healthier state then I am going to go the route of the "dip nails".... I think
7) In 2013, when this song was popular, Pope Benedict resigned. Thinking over your working life, have you been more nervous on your first day of a job, or the last one? first day
8) Also in 2013, golfer Phil Mickelson won the British Open. When did you most recently golf? Hmmmmmm..... never have golfed on a real course only putt putt.... and that has been years ago
9) Random question -- On what part of your body was the last itch you scratched? my leg...dang bug bite

I bite my nails too and always have. It's a frustrating habit but I'm so old now I don't think it will go away.
ReplyDeleteI think the majority of the bloggers today have confessed to nail biting. I gave up biting my nails many years ago, but I can't seem to leave my cuticles alone. And I have bug bites on my ankles that are driving me nuts!
ReplyDeleteI don't do dip nails but I do gel manicures--I love how long they last! I should say I haven't tried dip nails. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your answer to #1. Being tickled by the little things is one of the secrets to a happy life.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just hate bug bites? They drive me crazy.
ReplyDeleteHawaii would for sure be on my list of places to travel to also! Loved your answers! Have a nice weekend.

Don't you despise skeeters... they ruin summer evenings on the porch! Love your answer for 1
ReplyDeleteI quit biting my nails years ago...except if I'm under stress, but I did such a number on them all those years ago that the nail beds are damaged and they grow all wonky. A pro can get them to look pretty decent, but when it's just me, I keep them shorter so it isn't obvious.
ReplyDeleteWell, what fun you will have in Hawaii. We have been twice but it was years and years ago. I do the dip on my nails and it is soooo much better for your nails than the acrylic, you will like it. Mosquitoes are awful here.
