On a whim the hubs was looking up concerts in our area, and saw that we could get tickets to see The Who this Tuesday for only $15 a piece... say what?? Something about the "National Concert Week" running May 1-7 if you purchased tickets this week for any concert that certain groups that were listed, you could get tickets for cheap... so we grabbed a few and will be seeing them this Tuesday! So a date night in the middle of the week!
And now onto the post...
I am linking up with Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. Head on over to find some other great bloggers.
For Today... May 6th, 2019
The weather...Its 55° and the high for the day of 63° today....the rain moves in around noon today
As I look outside my window...day is breaking... while I love the blossoms on this tree, the scent they put off, makes me sick. I wish the city didn't plant them, or at least would have planted this one in the same area out front by the one they chopped down. I have an identical one on the other side of my driveway as well.... ugh
On my bedside table... my alarm clock, Kindle, iPad and a journal
On my reading pile... nothing at the moment...
Movies or Shows I watched this weekend... I went to see Breakthrough - what a great movie!!
On my TV... Chicago Series : Med, Fire, PD, Resident, 911, Blue Bloods, New Amsterdam, American Idol (first time in a long time I am continuing on past the auditions)
On the menu for this week... Menu for the week:
Monday ~ sketti, salad, garlic bread
Tuesday ~ burgers and fries
Wednesday ~ breakfast
Thursday ~ pizza
Friday ~ dinner with friends
Saturday ~ not sure yet
Sunday ~ not sure yet
In the craft basket... working on a temperature afghan, got the seventeenth week completed. Still working on the other afghans and the cow afghan
Happening this week:
Monday ~ work, work on Bible Study
Tuesday ~ work, head out to The Who concert
Wednesday ~ work, work on Bible Study
Thursday ~ craft day, errands, take Lici to get her nails done
Friday ~ groceries, housework, errands, dinner plans with friends
Saturday ~ Laudry and not sure what else the day will hold
Sunday ~ church, and hopefully either the boys will be over to do the cooking (grilling) or the hubs takes me out
Looking around the house... its nice to see it all tidied up
From the camera... My friend Cary and I at the movies
What I'm wearing today... black leggings and a peach striped shirt
One of my simple pleasures... spending time with my sisters in Christ, and being able to share openly without judgement.
A favorite Bible verse, devotion or quote for today...
On my prayer list... For continuing prayers for my husbands eye, from what I have read, and been told this shot in the eye will be an on going monthly thing for some time to come.
In closing...Thank you for stopping by. I hope your week ahead is filled with lots of blessings!

DeleteWhat a great ticket find! Enjoy your date night! Oh, Bradford pear trees are the worst! Our neighbor has a huge one in his yard, I'm so glad it's done. Very pretty but very stinky. Wish they'd replace the ones around here with Dogwoods or something. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI wish we could get rid of them... They are just horrible! Pretty, but horrible!
