Dogs and carpets

Now that I have a dog, I need to get my carpets cleaned! I thought I could do it myself, but I need some help with the tougher stains. I have to check into someone like carpet cleaning raleigh nc here in Michigan. Our dining room carpet is in bad shape, and needs some serious help!

It will be a bonus for when we list the house as well! I would really like to put in some hardwood, like we did in the kitchen, but will keep the carpet, if it means my hubby will concede and put in a slider! This will make things much easier for me when its time to let Lici in and out!
