Selling my crafts

I am thinking about setting up a shop so I can sell some of my crafts I make. I know that I don't want to set up an etsy shop, as I don't like the fees they charge. I am thinking that is why people charge the ridiculous prices for their items, to recoup the costs of the fees. That's how it got to be on ebay, and that's why I don't sell on their anymore.

I want to start making some money of my own, but not by going out and getting a job, as I like my freedom too much. I would like to save up enough to help Trent buy a new nintendo dsi 3D game system, as his DS went kaput on him. Still not happy that an expensive item like this just quit working only after a year or so.

Its almost summer and I should be thinking about doing things out doors, but if I am going to get a shop going, I need to start getting crafty!

  1. GURL!!!! Use all that baking desire to BLESS other people! Just becaue you're baking it doesn't mean YOU have to eat it. Have fun baking and have fun giving it away . . . what a wonderful ministry that could be! I bet your pastor could put you to work bringing meals/treats to new moms, needy people in the church, etc. etc.! That's my 2 cents! XOXO love ya!

  2. Meant to leave that last post on the baking post -- but anyway -- why not start a blog featuring your crafts? You can feature your crafts in photos and then not need the overhead of a storefront. You can advertise on FB and word of mouth . . . just an idea . . .
