Knitted Christmas things

I found a cool site with free patterns for Christmas ornaments. I think I may make a few to add to some presents for family and friends this year.



Knitted Christmas Wreath Ornament Pattern

Easy knitting pattern for a Christmas wreath can be an ornament or a pin. It knits up in no time.

Gauge:
Not vital

Size:
Approximately 2½" by 2½".

Materials: Green worsted weight yarn Red yarn for ribbon Needles appropriate for yarn

Instructions
Your knitted piece will twist naturally to the right as a corkscrew.
CO 18 sts.
Row 1: k
Row 2: *k1, k1 tbl; rep from * across
Row 3: Rep Row 2
BO.

Holding both ends, twist the corkscrew until it's a tight a tube as desired. Keeping it twisted with a pin i necessary, seam ends together.

Thread a short piece of red yarn through and tie in a bow. If desired, decorate with French knots.

Attach a pin to the back or a loop of yarn for hanging the ornament.
